Viewing the World from a Two-Wheeled Perspective

What’s *your* dream for 2011?

We’re now eleven days into the New Year. Are some of your resolutions sagging?

I suggest throwing over your resolutions and focusing on your inspirations. That’s right, what inspires you? What do you really, really want to do? What do you want to make happen for yourself this year? What dream do you need to start chasing so your heart can be fulfilled?

WomenRidersNow.com just published an article of mine, “Resolve to Make Your Motorcycling Dreams Come True in 2011“. I used examples from my South America trip for how to make your own trip happen, but your trip doesn’t have to be huge like that. What excites you? What incites you? Where do you want to go?

Heck, maybe it’s not even a motorcycle trip! The actions I talked about in my article apply to anything in your life. My life just happens to revolve around motorcycles. I bet yours doesn’t.

-Speak Your Goal
-Set a Date
-Act in Spite of the Fear
-Surround Yourself with Positive People
-Move at Your Own Pace

What’s the worst that can happen if you follow your heart? You might just achieve your dreams!

What are YOU going to make happen in 2011? I’d love to hear.

  1. BC, Yukon, NWT & Alaska! 40 days!!!!!!!!!!!! Leaving July 4th, 2011~

  2. I have 3 trips on slate.
    1. I will be heading south from N.E. TN. down through Savannah GA and down to Daytona for a book signing during bike week.

    2. I’ve planned a ride on the “Trail of Tears”. Northern route from TN. to OK. and then to visit my daughter in MO. then back home again. Looking for this to take a month.

    3. I am planning to ride the Natchez Trace from Nashville TN. to Natchez MS. Returning in a nice loop… I try to NEVER take the same route twice unless I have time to revisit another time! This trip will be about 10 days.

  3. Hi Alisa,
I’ve been trying to track you down in a roundabout way since we bumped into each other at the bmw rally in Oregon last year. I have some photos of you I believe in the gs challenge and would love to forward them on, Congrats on your womenridersnow article – it was a great read!

  4. Wow, I’ve been trying to track you down as well. I sent you an email !

Edit: Your email just bounced–ack! it was the info@ one. help!

  5. Wow, Chessie, you are on a roll for 2011! “Trail of Tears” sounds interesting–I’ve never ridden it. I rode the Natchez Trace a few years ago–BE-aut-i-ful! Mind the speed limits! Have a great time and I hope to see you on the road!

  6. WOW! That’s a big trip! Funny, I’m just penning about my BC-Yukon-NWT -Alaska trip right now. It was a challenging trip for me in some ways (lots actually because I was sick with a parasite and worn out from Latin America), but the scenery is incredible. We may overlap in Alaska this summer–I’ll be up there Aug 4-18th with the Women’s Motorcyclist Foundation. Have an awesome trip!
