All tidied up in Connecticut!

Well, the house looks (and smells!) 100% better. Amazing how six weeks of elbow grease and good, old-fashioned hired labor can clean up a place! Bring on the new owners!   Please follow and like...

Arrival in Connecticut

Posted by on Jun 9, 2013 in USA | Comments Off on Arrival in Connecticut

Well, I’ve arrived in Connecticut and all is not as it should be. My tenants did a number on my house, and of course I want it back to perfect ASAP. I refuse to stay there because it smells so badly of dog urine it’s disgusting, so I am staying with friends. Most inconvenient. I’m working on getting it put back together as lovely as when I left it. The good news is that I am loving my new DR. It’s a great little commuter. I’m also loving my Klim ladies riding suit because it keeps me dry on the inside through this incredible wet weather.  I “commute” in it to the house. It’s really great to see all my friends, and reconnect with all the wonderful women I am close to here. OK, if I go silent for...

New Adventure, new Bike

Along the way someone mentioned the Continental Divide Ride (also known as the Great Divide Ride or the Continental Divide Trail for hikers) and, well, we’d both...

Sitting in Another Airport…

Funny, it seems like most of my “free” time has been spent sitting in airports! (or at least going by my blog posts it seems that way) Yes, I made it home from the Azores. I had a whirlwind month of visiting my sister in Nebraska, writing a couple of articles, taking a trip to Overland Expo in Arizona and doing some remote camping This time I am sitting in the Denver airport waiting for a flight back East. I’m headed back to Connecticut to sell my house and my stuff and finally be free. These are exciting times. So. I have heaps and heaps of pictures to post. Edward and I went camping and hiking in the back country and I got some neat pics of slot canyons and waterfalls. I look forward to sharing them with you...
