I’m honored (and in good company!) in Dianna Bowes’ magazine “Fabulous at 50”. In the coming months I’ll be focusing on inspiring more women to ride, so for now it’s a prelude of things to come! #RideYourDream Please follow and like...

Well, the project I’ve been working on for the last two years is finally coming to fruition…The Sisters’ Centennial Motorcycle Ride. We’re taking a large group of women across the United States celebrating the 100th anniversary of Adeline and August Van Buren’s history -making ride, being the first women to each ride their own motorcycles across the USA.     See you in San Francisco! I’m sitting at LAX waiting for my flight to Cape Town. Well, technically, I’m flying to Atlanta, then to Johannesburg, then to Cape Town. I’ve bee lucky enough to ride over 10,000 miles this summer so I shouldn’t complain, but it seems like I’ve done nothing lately but sit in planes… Well, I’ll get to ride another 2,000 miles or so once I get to South Africa, so I guess the next two days of sitting in the plane will be worth it. Me & My Super Secret Mojo

Posted by on Aug 13, 2015 in California | Comments Off on Me & My Super Secret Mojo

It’s true. I’ve dropped off the face of the blogging sphere. I’ve been working back to back motorcycle events (BMW MOA in Billings, MT for Renedian Adventures and then the Sturgis Rally for BMW) and now I am gearing up to ride across the country. I promised I’d only write when I have something to say and that’s why you should be subscribed by email so you don’t have to check my site for new posts. I can’t stand the inane blather on social media these days, so I still only write on my personal blog when I feel like I have something to say. My new love is actually an almost-not-so-secret-anymore project that of course includes motorcycles....

Well, I’m looking at my calendar and starting next week I don’t have any empty spaces left in it! I’ve been re-grouping and re-focusing in Southern California. We moved residences at the end of February and that buggered me up for quite a while. Now I have a lovely new office in a lovely new home and I’ve been furiously pounding away at the keyboard for quite some months now. I’ve written a considerable amount of articles and have been spending al my free time working n my pet project the 2016 Sisters Centennial Motorcycle Ride. More about that later. (If there are any expert fundraisers or even planners that read my blog and you want to give me some professional advice know that I am looking for a mentor!) This week I am at home to put the...

Anza Borrego Desert State Park Camping trip (not)

Posted by on May 29, 2015 in California | Comments Off on Anza Borrego Desert State Park Camping trip (not)

Last weekend for the holiday weekend we packed up the 4×4 after work on Thursday and headed out to the desert. We were trying to beat the crowds and it absolutely worked. We were the only ones driving 4×4 jeep trails through the desert at 10:30 at night trying to find the camp site we’d programmed into the GPS. Afte a night of gale force winds and rain in the morning, we packed up camp and ventured into town for breakfast. After a couple of yummy breakfast burritos we went out to see if we could find any dragons or serpents… …and we did!   Next we went chasing other fantastic creatures… …although I am not sure who was more surprised when I actually *did* catch him! Then we went off in search of other amusements and encountered this:...
